Workshop 1: Put Insomnia to Bed!
Description: Chronic insomnia is very difficult to treat and involves a dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system, the immune system, and the endocrine system. The workshop will review a multimodal approach to assessment and treatment of patients with insomnia. The workshop will review mechanisms of action medical cannabis and potential beneficial usage for patients.

Workshop 2: PTSD and Insomnia
Description: PTSD is a challenging disorder to treat and requires a multimodal approach to treatment which addresses the physical, biochemical, electrophysiological, and neuroemotional status of the patient. Many of the traditional evidence based therapies aid merely at palliating the symptoms of PTSD. Medical cannabis can be used to take those suffering from PTSD out of , "fight & flight mode" by stabilizing their the autonomic nervous system and thus allowing them to access the higher cortical centre needed to begin to heal and engage in therapy.

Workshop 3: Geriatric Polypharmacy
Description: There is increasing evidence that treating with the appropriate formulation and dose of medical cannabis allows patients to reduce many of their pain and psychoactive medications. This workshop will review survey data which points to a reduction in polypharmacy with the use of medical cannabis. The potential indications for using CBD, THC, and combination CDB:THC formulations will be discussed and routes of delivery such as edibles, topical, vaporizing and oils will be reviewed.
